Frequently asked questions
Answers to the questions New Zealand travellers ask most about touring China.
Ask a specialistAre international flights included in the price?
Yes. Every trip includes return economy flights from Auckland, with taxes. If you live in Wellington, Christchurch or another city, we can add a domestic connection to Auckland at an extra cost.
Do I need a visa to visit China?

How big are the groups?
Our groups have a maximum of 20 travellers, so it's easy to get to know each other and the pace never feels rushed.
Will we have an English-speaking guide?
Yes. Every group is accompanied by English-speaking local guides in each region, who look after everything from sightseeing to restaurant orders.
How do I pay for my trip?
Most trips need a deposit to secure your place, with the balance due before departure. Some trips are paid in full at the time of booking. The payment terms are shown on each trip page.
How fit do I need to be?
Our trips are rated Easy, Moderate or Active. Most are Moderate, which means a few hours of walking on most days, including some steps. Each trip page explains what to expect.
